Geomatys' capabilities in G.H.O.M. (Geographic, Hydrographic, Oceanographic and Meteorological) data processing, spatio-temporal analysis and multi-source data fusion have led to the development of algorithms for analyzing global maritime traffic data, combining it with environmental information to identify behaviors and practices characteristic of legal or illegal activities.
These GeoInt (Geo-Intelligence) processes are, as far as we're concerned, the first step in training Machine Learning algorithms, enabling us to discriminate between normal activity and suspicious behavior among millions of trajectories.
